Suffering from paralyzing melancholy, I drifted from day to day since I had crossed my fortieth winter. I had seen myself craving after what I longed for and trying to obtain it by doing the exact opposite. Being an error in itself, it was in this forlornness when a hint of hope beguiled me.
The image to this song in the CD booklet shows asteroids drifting in the cold, empty void of space – drawn into a betraying light, illustrating a hopeless and deceptive journey.
lyrics
Dawn of Epiphany
The ashen Smoke of my dying cancer cigarette
barely revealed auspicious visions to me.
My mirthless eyes behold desperately shadows in the plume,
but all the plasmic shapes vanish like past lovers before.
My weary face cries grievous tempests into my hands
whose leather skin fails to disguise my mental decay.
Into this forlornness you struck down as the Lightbringer's Sword
and you opened my veins to a gracious salvation.
And like a coup de grâce a ray refracted through the ice
you dug your way through me down into the opaque ore
with which I longed to become one, veiled and clandestine
across all Eons hidden from the lies of this world.
While I solicited to sink into Oblivion,
you buried a crystal seed into the abyss of my soul.
His epiphany broke the screaming silence in my woe
and laid into my dying a hint of life.

The "Cult..." is UADA's sophomore album, and among all, the one I largely prefer. The Vocal performance, to start with, is truly outstanding, and while I really liked their debut album, this one is more varied, and overall is technically superior to anything else I've heard from UADA. Fast, aggressive, but with enchanting melodies to break in between, à la Dissection. Highly recommended! sachavonkarl74

The atmosphere on this record is amazing dark and beautiful almost spiritual at some points and crushing at others every song gave me goosebumps at some point vaguy22

What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024

Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10 RJ
